San Andreas Highway Patrol Subdivisions
Bureau of Transportation Enforcement
The Bureau of Transportation and Enforcement strives to enforce the various traffic laws in order to prompt safety across the roadways of San Andreas. This is exercised through sobriety tests, speed enforcement, and vehicle inspections.
Troopers with the Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Certification strive to enforce the rules and regulations of commercial motor vehicles on the roads across the state. They ensure that commercial motor vehicles are running within the size and weight limit of the state's allotted statistics, and the ensure that all commercial motor vehicles are maintaining safe and stable transport. If the laws and regulations are not upheld, then a Trooper will investigate to the best of their abilities and punish those who violate the law in order to keep the roads safe.
Troopers with the Aggressive Driving Apprehension Team Certification dedicate themselves in keeping the roadways of the state free from aggressive drivers & impaired drivers, along with speed enforcement. This Certification also houses our Motorbike Unit.
Troopers with the Motor Recovery Certification are enlisted to safely and properly transport vehicles from which have been seized as a result of an infringement of the law or those that require transport from motor vehicle accident. These Troopers serve throughout the state while maintaining the pride and professionalism of the San Andreas Highway Patrol.
Bureau of Air and Coastal Operations
The San Andreas Highway Patrol Bureau of Air and Coastal Operations is formed of unique and specialized units that strive to provide assistance to law enforcement agencies and the general public. This assistance can be provided through aerial assets, vessels, and even all-terrain vehicles. With these unique and specialized vehicles, the Bureau of Air and Coastal Operations is granted the ability to conduct aerial surveillance, search and rescue missions, vessel inspections, and much more. All services are conducted in a professional and unbiased manner.
Bureau of Special Operations
The Bureau of Special Operations is an elite unit within the San Andreas Highway Patrol tasked with interdiction and enforcement of illegal activities and persons, focused on the vast highway networks throughout the state of San Andreas. The SAHP BSO also conducts joint operations with local departments to investigate, apprehend and therefore prevent the movement of illicit items throughout their receptive jurisdictions. Our three teams - Investigations, Enforcement and Canine - work in unison to ensure effectiveness of every operation, from start to finish.
The Bureau of Special Operations mission is to provide premier operational intelligence, and investigative services in an effort to be recognized as the most comprehensive, professional, and effective investigative entity and service partner to the many other Law Enforcement Agencies in the State of San Andreas. All investigative services are conducted in a professional and unbiased manner.
All BSO Troopers go through months of continuous training to make sure they are fully capable of providing safeguards for the social, economic, and political functions of the citizens of the visitors to the state. We pride ourselves in making sure we can handle incidents involving but not limited to, Homicide, Robbery, Auto Theft, Crimes, Kidnapping, Fatal Motor Vehicle Collisions, Officer Involved Shootings, Narcotics Interventions and Suspect Apprehension.
Whether it's enforcing a warrant for narcotics or tracking down a fugitive - the Trooper (be it four or two-legged) of the BSO will uphold the standard that SAHP Sets out every day in it's general patrol.
